What is Nutrition Response Testing?

Nutrition Response Testing is a non-invasive system of analyzing the body and organ function to determine the underlying causes of ill or poor health by analyzing toxicities and deficiencies in the body. With Nutrition Response Testing, we treat the root of the issue – not just the symptoms. This technique is a form of applied kinesiology or otherwise known as “muscle-testing.”

How does NRT work?

Nutrition Response Testing, or muscle testing, allows your own body to communicate where imbalances are occurring and potential causes of these imbalances. Examples of imbalances in the body are weight loss or gain, digestive disorders, poor memory, mood swings, irregular sleep patterns and fatigue.

The Nutrition Response Testing procedure is performed lying down with your arm extended straight. If the tested reflex area on the body is under stress, the Autonomic Nervous System will respond by reducing energy to the extended arm, meaning the arm will weaken and drop. When performing Nutrition Response Testing, a scan of the body is checked for the 5 most common stressors that can cause symptoms of poor health. These stressors include heavy chemical toxicity, hidden food sensitivities, heavy metal toxicity, immune challenges and scar interferences. When these stressors accumulate in our body over time, they can impair the function of major endocrine glands, metabolic glands and organs that are crucial to our health.

Once the underlying issues are discovered, the next step in Nutrition Response Testing is to see what nutrients your body may be lacking due to this toxin overload. When your body receives the proper nutrients in the forms of whole food essential minerals, vitamins and antioxidants, many imbalances in your body come back into balance. When this happens, symptoms lessen and, in most cases, disappear.

What does the program include?

At The Well, we strongly believe that you were meant to feel your very best and that your body was designed to heal no matter what the diagnosis. We take your health goals seriously and look at each client that walks through our door individually.

We start new clients with a 1.5 hour Initial Consultation over a two-day period. The first appointment is an hour-long fact-finding session where your practitioner will perform a series of non-invasive tests to analyze your current health status. The second appointment, called the Report of Findings, will be 30 minutes long and within one week of your first appointment. During the Report of Findings your practitioner will go over results from your first appointment and lay out a customized wellness plan to help you achieve your goals at The Well.

After your first two visits, you will come weekly for a follow up appointment. This will continue for 2-4 weeks, depending on the individuals needs and progress. A typical follow up visit lasts about fifteen minutes. During this visit, we test the patient for any new reflexes and find out if any supplements need to be added or deleted from their program. We will review the patient’s food log from the previous week, and make necessary recommendations concerning the food they eat.

Once your progress has been steady and no new stressors arise, you will be put on a maintenance program. This will include nutritional supplements and will have office visits once every two months.
